Member's Masterclass: Our Menopause Movement by Avara Foods

How do we create a menopause friendly workplace for all?

Harvard Business Review tells us that over 50's are fastest growing workplace group in the UK. People are working for longer and retiring later. so how do we ensure that women who are going through the menopause feel supported, represented and have their needs met? And how do we engage male colleagues in these conversations?

The session will provide an overview of Avara's journey in this space so far. Sarah, Sophie and Emma will share their experiences and how they have raised awareness of support available, with a focus to talk.to care.to understand. This is a story of progress, and of a company that stands firmly behind the wellbeing of it’s workforce.

"We started our journey as a small but mighty team of three who all work in different parts of the organisation and are at different stages of our menopause journey.  A casual coffee conversation led to recognition that menopause is an issue in the workplace for many women and through our collective desire to make a difference a commitment to inclusivity and wellbeing has taken root, dedicated to fostering an environment where open conversations about menopause are not just welcomed, but encouraged."

Who is the masterclass aimed at?

Anyone interested in understanding how to create a menopause friendly workplace for all colleagues, whether a woman struggling to manage their menopause symptoms, male colleagues or line managers.
