About this Event
Booking is now open for the first Meat Business Women face to face event in the UK & Ire of 2021 and it’s not to be missed!
The event will start with a networking lunch followed by an interactive networking with purpose session; making it super easy to make new connections and re-connect with your existing network.
We’ll hear from Chris Kirke, President of Moy Park on how they are planning for the future and actively shaping it. With more than 26 years of experience in the food industry, Chris has a strong track record of customer engagement and business transformation in both the UK and US. The Cranswick team will talk to us about how they are attracting new talent and working to positively impact the future of talent. We’ll then turn over to you and give delegates a chance to shape the Meat Business Women strategy.
Meat Business Women chair Laura Ryan says: “The Meat Business Women networking event will bring together our community for the first time in person for over 18 months. We know our members are ready to get back in the room and re-connect. We’ve developed a programme that will give delegates all the skills they need to re-fresh their networking skills, hear from our key-note speaker Chris Kirke plus shape the future strategy of Meat Business Women.”
The event is open to both members and non-members of Meat Business Women, however members will receive a discount of £20 on their ticket price. Annual membership of Meat Business Women is just £99 per year and offers monthly masterclasses as well as access to our bespoke mentoring platform.

Meat Business Women works in partnership with meat businesses to remove the barriers that stop women from reaching their full professional potential. It does this by focusing on five key areas: changing perceptions of the sector; moving inclusion up the agenda; tackling the broken career ladder; strengthening networks and creating visible role models; and gender-proofing working practices and patterns.
In order to help stop the spread of COVID-19, it is sensible for everyone to be regularly testing themselves using the free lateral flow tests provided by the NHS, especially if you are attending an event and when you return home. You can order tests here.
Most events, including Meat Business Women will have some kind of COVID-19 certification process as a condition of entry. This means we will ask you to prove your COVID-19 status with one of the following:
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination both doses received at least 14 days before your arrival;
- Proof of a negative NHS COVID-19 Lateral Flow Test taken within 48 hours of your arrival;
- Proof of natural immunity based upon a positive PCR test taken within 180 days of the event (including 10 days self-isolation following the result).
We are no longer required to keep a record of visitors attending indoor functions, but we will display a QR code facility and notebook should you wish to check in via Track and Trace. Please note both check in methods are optional.
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms, please do refrain from attending the conference.
