Meat Business Women (MBW), will be featured as part of the Red Meat Sector Conference official programme and MBW New Zealand are taking the opportunity to host a lunch for our community.

 

About this Event

This forms part of the annual Red Meat Sector Conference organised by two territory partners Beef + Lamb New Zealand Ltd and Meat Industry Association

This is your chance to be inspired by influential women working in our industry, network, and hear more about MBW offerings. The Red Meat Sector Conference delegates span senior industry leaders through to farmers and if you’re also attending the Conference we will have a friendly MBW presence throughout.

Simon Limmer, Silver Fern Farms Ltd, Chief Executive

Simon has been in the role of Chief Executive of Silver Fern Farms since March 2018. Silver Fern Farms is New Zealand’s leading producer and marketer of grass-fed beef, lamb and venison. Its branded products are available in around 60 countries and Silver Fern Farms is focussed on building its market presence and developing nature-based production systems.

Prior to Silver Fern Farms Simon was with Zespri International for 10 years, the world’s leading kiwifruit marketer. His roles included: Chief Operating Officer, GM China and GM Global Supply.  Prior to Zespri he worked for French multi-national Veolia for 16 years, which operates globally in the fields of water, waste management and energy services.

Simon has a deep connection with the New Zealand Primary sector, food manufacturing and service sectors and has lived and worked in a number of our key international markets.

Kate Beddoe, Silver Fern Farms Ltd, Chief Sustainability & Risk Officer

Kate is a purpose led and impacts driven business leader.

Kate joined Silver Fern Farms in October 2020 as Chief Sustainability & Risk Officer to bring a strategic approach to sustainability and risk.

Prior to joining Silver Fern Farms Kate has held a number of executive and senior leadership roles including Chief Risk & Sustainability Officer for Vector Ltd, Vice President Risk & Sustainability for the AMCOR global business and Strategic Risk Manager at Toyota Australia. Kate’s holds a BA/LLB and she practiced commercial law for some years before moving into corporate roles.

Kate brings her unique perspective from working in a range of industries which include professional services, agriculture, manufacturing and utilities, both nationally and internationally. Kate is a faculty member of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership, Business & Sustainability Executive Leadership Program (Melbourne).

Vicki McColl, Silver Fern Farms Ltd, Chief Financial Officer

Vicki joined Silver Fern Farms in December 2016 as Chief Financial Officer and leads the group’s finance and accounting, commercial, treasury and customer, supplier & hub experience functions.

Prior to joining Silver Fern Farms Vicki returned home to New Zealand after 15 years overseas, during which time she held a number of senior roles across Australia, London and South America for Rio Tinto. Most recently she was the CFO for Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific. Vicki is a graduate of Otago University (Bachelor of Commerce).
