Driving circularity for protein packaging
Working towards a circular economy will require reducing our reliance on virgin materials and increasing the availability of post-consumer recyclate.
As all packaging producers in food and drink demand recycled material, it is now essential to separate PET food packaging from bottles to meet demand and keep the food supply chain affordable.
The kp Tray2Tray® program is an initiative to recover used food packaging and turn it back into more of the same. kp is working with the entire value chain to generate and drive continued demand and ensure a constant supply of post-consumer recycled plastics.
In this session you will:
- Current PET recycling infrastructure
- Key challenges facing the recycling market
- Why Tray2Tray recycling needs to be developed and what these challenges are
- Legislative framework
- New recycling technologies
- How this program can help you to get your sustainability targets
This open masterclass is relevant for all – particularly procurement, technology, sustainability, marketing and packaging teams
