Hi everyone. I am new to Meat Business Women and I’m really excited to understand experiences and shared learnings across the industry. I am a People Manager in an abattoir and one of the barriers for progression is the tradition of “working your way up”. Some of the top skilled jobs require significant physical effort which can prevent progression for females. Can anyone share ideas of what they have done to remove some of the physical effort within the beef carni and slaughter roles to create a more level platform based on skill rather than strength?
