Ambition Awards: Everything you need to know
Three categories, Ten winners
2025 is our anniversary year. And we thought that there was no better way to celebrate than to recognise and celebrate the standout achievements of incredible women working across our industry!
So with that, we’re so excited to expand our awards for one-year only and honour 10 remarkable women across three categories, presented at our UK & Ireland Summit on 22nd May.
The Prize
True to the spirit of Meat Business Women, these awards offer more than just a certificate. Each winner will be recognised in our inaugral Ambition Ambassador Index 2025 and will receive one place on an exclusive series of group coaching sessions with a professional coach. These coaching session will be tailored to the winner's requirements, helping you to accelerate personal and professional growth. These coaching sessions are also a fantastic way to expand your network in a supportive environment.
What are the categories?
We're bring back our flagship One to Watch award, as well as adding two new categories designed to empower women by showcasing their achievements and potential: Culture Champion and Allyship Ambassador.
Who can apply?
One to Watch
This award is for aspirational young women aged 35yrs or under, who are working in any area of the food industry. The application process will ask you to talk about a time you've had a significant impact on your business, how you motivate others, why you are passionate about working in the food industry and how you would use the coaching sessions.
Culture Champions
This award is for women of any age, who are driving progress on DEI within their organisations or the industry. The application process will ask you to talk about a time you've had a significant impact on DEI in your business, how you inspire others, why you are passionate about advancing DEI in in the food industry and how you would use the coaching sessions.
Allyship Ambassador
Women and men of any age who mentor others, advocate for underrepresented individuals, and drive positive change within their organisations. The application process will ask you to talk about a time you've actively prioritised the development or create opportunities, mentored someone, or remove barriers for others, how you inspire others to do the same, why you are passionate about being an ally in the food industry and how you would use the coaching sessions.
What's the application and judging process?
The application/nomination process will involve a small number of questions answered via a video submission.
Applications will open on Monday 10th February 2025 and close on 30th March 2025. The panel of judges will be made up of MBW’s UK & Ire Committee, who will judge objectively and independently.
Our judges will choose their top 10 Ambition Ambassadors per category (30 in total) and The Ambition Ambassadors will be announced at the MBW 2025 Summit on Thursday 22nd May at Telford Golf and Spa Hotel.
