Meat Business Women Strengthens Partnership with Australian Meat Group to Inspire and Empower Women in the Meat Industry

Meat Business Women is pleased to announce the expansion of its partnership with the Australian Meat Group (AMG). Previously a supporting partner, AMG has now elevated its role to a full strategic partner, demonstrating its increased commitment to empowering women in the meat industry and promoting gender diversity.

Through this strengthened partnership, AMG employees will have access to MBW's core initiatives, including mentoring programs, leadership development resources, and a global network of women professionals. These programs aim to support women at all stages of their careers and help them overcome barriers in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry.

Stacey McKenna, Australian Chair of Meat Business Women, emphasised the importance of this collaboration, "With AMG stepping up as a strategic partner, we're able to accelerate our mission of supporting women across the meat industry. This partnership will provide the tools and opportunities needed for women to grow their careers and break through barriers that have held the industry back for too long."

AMG's Managing Director, Gilbert Cabral, reflected on the significance of the partnership,

"This partnership aligns with our commitment to supporting women across the meat industry. We're focused on providing programs that help our employees develop professionally and thrive."

The partnership comes at a pivotal time. According to MBW's 2023 global gender report, women make up just 33.5% of the meat industry workforce, with only 8% in executive roles. Together with AMG and our Global Partners, we aim to close this gap and create a more gender-balanced, inclusive workplace.
