Andrew Duff

Director of MACDUFF

Andrew Duff, great grandson of ‘Chicago’ Peter, joined MACDUFF full time in the summer of 2015 having completed an MBA at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, very heavily focussed on the meat industry. He previously worked for three years in London as a Recruitment Consultant for Venn Group.

With a move back to the High Street and high-quality butchers’ shops opening again all over the UK, Andrew’s mission is to take MACDUFF into the 21st Century linking the ‘The Rolls Royce of Scottish Beef’ with the connectivity of the Internet and social media. Andrew now lives in Edinburgh with his wife Alice and first child Tilly. Whilst actively promoting the growth of MACDUFF Andrew believes it is crucial to remain operating as a small family-run firm where personal service and knowing who’s who remains ‘king’. Native breeds now account for approx 40% of MACDUFF’s annual cattle throughput. Andrew is now a Director at MACDUFF and looks forward to trying to overcome the current challenges of Brexit and promoting sustainability within the sector as a whole.
