Ambition Awards 2025

2025 is our tenth anniversary year, and there is no better way to celebrate than to recognise and honour the standout achievements of incredible people working across our industry.

So with that, we’re so excited to expand our awards for one-year only, honouring 10 remarkable people in each of our two award categories. The winners of each category will be presented at our UK & Ireland Summit on 22nd May

We're all about recognising role models who inspire and lead with purpose, at every stage of their career and these awards will shine a light on 10 people in each category who are making strides in their field.

We're bringing back our flagship One to Watch award, with some changes as well as adding a new category, designed to empower women and men by showcasing their achievements and potential: Allyship Advocate.

Award Categories

The Prize

True to the spirit of Meat Business Women, these awards offer more than just a certificate. Each of our 20 winners will receive a series of group coaching sessions with a professional executive coach, helping to unlock new opportunities and accelerate their growth, at any career stage. They'll also be recognised in our inaugral Ambition Index 2025; a catalogue which will highlight and celebrate the achievements of our winners.

Key Dates

The Judging process and Rules

Applications will open on Thursday 13^th February 2025 and close on 30^th March 2025.
The application/nomination process will involve a small number of questions answered via a video submission.
The panel of judges will be made up of Meat Business Women's UK & Ire Committee, who will judge objectively and independently.
Our judges will choose their 10 winners per category.
The winners will be announced at the Meat Business Women Summit on Thursday 22^nd May at Telford Golf and Spa Hotel.
Winners will need to be able to attend the Meat Business Women UK & Ireland Summit on Thursday 22nd May at Telford Golf and Spa Hotel. We kindly ask that tickets for the Summit are purchased by the individual or their organisation.
If you are based in Australia, please refer to our Australian One to Watch award, as we cannot accept entries from Australia for these awards.

Who can apply?

One to Watch

Women 35yrs or under, who are working in any area of the UK, Irish or European food industry (including processing, retail, foodservice, supporting industries, industry bodies and organisations etc.)
This category requires the applicant to apply themselves, by answering simple questions via a short video submission on our online nomination form here.
Organisations can encourage their employees to apply by sharing the online application form with them. There is no upper limit on how many applications can be submitted from an organisation.

Allyship Advocate

Women and men of any age who prioritise the mentorship of others, advocate for underrepresented individuals and drive positive change within their organisations. They can work in any area of the UK, Irish or European food industry (including processing, retail, foodservice, supporting industries, industry bodies and organisations etc).
This is a nominated category. If you know someone who you think is an Allyship Advocate, please nominate them via a short video submission on our online nomination form here.
There is no upper limit on how many people can be nominated from an organisation.
